Of course it is. Coronavirus has changed everything. Everything that we thought was certain – our jobs, our family’s health, even New York itself – seems shaken. No one knows what will happen, and many of us don’t know how we will pay the bills – all because of this invisible virus.
In a time like this, we need something that is safe and certain. The Bible says that the only thing in this world that you can absolutely count on is God. Even when everything else falls apart, God will never fail us or abandon us. We only need to trust him.
The people in the Bible experienced difficult times as well. They often went hungry, not having enough food to eat. Other times they were mugged by people who didn’t like them. Often they were outcasts. Yet through it all, they found incredible peace, peace of mind that nothing can shake.
How did they find this peace? They found it through Jesus Christ. God came to earth as Jesus because he wanted to bring us peace. The Bible says that we, too, can have a relationship with Jesus that can’t be destroyed by uncertain times, sickness, or unemployment.
