Help Jimmy Return Home:

Our friend Jimmy (name changed) is a believer from a UPG in Asia and was formerly a religious leader among his people. After his conversion, he helped for many years to translate the NT into his own language. Jimmy came to the US six years ago and is attempting to support his wife and son who are living in India. He has been trying hard for the last year to find work, with no success, and it has been discouraging for him. He is approaching retirement age and has little chance of finding work in New York City that will allow him to support his family.

In discussion with our church and other believers, it seems best for Jimmy to return to India to be with his family. Jimmy is a member of our church, and we want to help him provide for his family and honor him for his service in helping to translate the NT. Our goal is to send Jimmy home with at least $10,000 and a promise of some ongoing support for three years. This will allow Jimmy to pay off some debts and finish a space in his home so that he can rent it out for future income.
