We believe that Jesus Christ lived and taught on the earth, died, was buried, and rose again from the dead. We believe that Jesus is God and that He is the only way to find forgiveness from our sins, peace with God and with men, and eternal life. We believe that the Bible accurately tells us about Jesus and teaches us how to be His followers today. To find out more about our specific beliefs, read our Confession of Faith.
The mission of Way of Jesus Church is to equip and encourage a culturally diverse community of believers to live out the Christ-centered Gospel. We identify as Anabaptists, which means that we emphasize discipleship, obedience to the Bible, believers’ baptism, and Jesus’ example of love and non-violence, among other things. Way of Jesus Church was started in October 2018 by a church-planting team from Life in Christ Mennonite Church in Elmhurst. We are part of a network of churches throughout New York City that identify with the Biblical Mennonite Alliance.
